The brewing has begun!

We've got the first photos in from one of the many Collaboration Fest beer projects being brewed for the fest! This brew day included Our Mutual Friend and Cerebral, both up and coming Denver breweries .

The brewers Brandon, Sean and Chris told us they like like collaboration beers because of all the non-beer related talking they get to do with industry peers. They get to learn about each others interests, background, what they spend their time on outside of the industry. It builds lasting friendships.

The beer? You can look forward to tasting their Belgian pale ale that is fermented using 12 strains of brettanomyces and hopped as well as dry hopped using citra, centennial, and sterling hops. The brewer's noted that, "(they) hope the beer’s marriage of brett and hops will contain a crazy complex spectrum of flavor, aroma, and have high drinkability."

OMF is inspired to brew mixed culture funky beers and Cerebral is on the hunt for the perfect IPA. Will it blend?!

Sounds delicious to us! Join us at Collaboration fest will you?

Sean from Cerebral told us that they decided on doing a Belgian Pale Ale with Brett after drinking a few Orval at Falling Rock. He clarified that this isn't an "Orval clone", just inspired by their use of dry hopping with Brettanomyces.
