Makin Noise: A Pussy Riot Beer

Words from Bess Dougherty, brewer at The Grateful Gnome Sandwich Shoppe & Brewery

Sometimes an idea becomes something far larger than originally planned. That is for sure what happened with Makin Noise: A Pussy Riot Beer. What started as a brew day to channel our energy and frustration post election into something positive turned into 5 brew days and multiple tappings around the front range and raised over $6500 for local non profits. This beer is so much more than a beer to everyone involved. Don't get me wrong, brewing with friends is always fun but having a larger sense of purpose that comes along with a project like this is truly something special. The beers that will be poured at Collaboration Beer Fest are 5 unique imperial saisons. Each brewery put their own spin on the style and we got some real gems out of doing the project this way, as well as a kick ass flight.

We are all so proud to be a part of such a meaningful beer and we can't wait to share all 5 varieties with you!
